Voluspa Frost Pinecone Review

I absolutely love Voluspa candles!  You always know that you have a high quality, luxurious candle in your possession if it has the Voluspa name on it and the Frost Pinecone scent from the their Season’s Collection is no different!  This candle comes in a beautiful mirrored glass container that is so elegant and classy.  The wax is white, which I like to see because I always know, beforehand, that it will match whichever I room I decide to put it in.

The Voluspa Frost Pinecone holiday scent is extraordinary!  Its unique blend of deep forest cypress, woody pinecone seeds and crunchy spice pine needles is incredible.  This particular scent is very subtle and not overwhelmingly strong like some candles that contain pine.  Upon burning this candle, I immediately thought of how great this one would be for an office, bedroom or any other type of smaller area.  Since the aroma is not as robust as some, it wouldn’t begin to engulf you in a smaller space, like some stronger scents will.

The Voluspa Frost Pinecone candle is a definite winner with me!  I think that this is the perfect candle for gift-giving and of course, for yourself!

NEST Sir Elton John Holiday Candle Review

I would like to take this opportunity to mention a candle that I recently came across that I think everyone should be aware of.  It is Sir Elton John’s Holiday candle by NEST.  Being an avid candle lover himself, Elton John has grown to admire NEST candles and has been known to buy everything that Laura Slatkin — the owner of NEST Fragrances — puts out.  The two came up with a brilliant idea to have Elton John create his own fragrance that would include his name on the label and also help benefit those affected by AIDS.
The NEST Sir Elton John Holiday Candle is an intrinsic blend of balsam fir and evergreen needles, with a hint of citrus and rich woods.  I must say that they did a wonderful job in designing a unique fragrance that fills your home with the spirit of the holidays.  I absolutely love it!  It is nice and strong — which is what I want in a candle — but, not overpowering, at all.  It is emits the perfect amount of fragrance that transcends you back in time to your most memorable holiday gatherings and experiences.

The best part about the NEST Sir Elton John Holiday Candle is that a part of the proceeds go to the Elton John AIDS Foundation.  It is always a great feeling to know that you are helping others when you make purchases like these.  I would not wait to too long to get a hold of one of these candles, though, because it is popular and sure to be sold-out before the holidays!

Votivo Joel de Noel Candle Review

Votivo has introduced a new holiday fragrance line that you have to see to believe!  As soon as you see the packaging, you will immediately realize what a luxurious line of candles their holiday collection is.  I chose to try out the Joie de Noel scent and it came in a stunning black and ivory colored box that is gorgeous enough for gift-giving without the need for any further wrapping.  Inside, the candle is enveloped in black tissue paper and once unfolded, the scent just emanates right out of the box.  The candle is also ivory in color and is presented in a hand blown glass container with a silver finish.  The extravagant presentation and packaging of this candle completely won me over before I even began to burn it!

With that being said, I do not want to take away from the incredible scent of the Votivo Joie de Noel candle because it, too, is incredible!  Right out of the box, you immediately smell the Fresh Siberian Fir Needle that is the main component of this candle’s scent, but after it began burning, I started picking up on subtle hints of other aromas.  You will smell a little cinnamon and clove, as well, which I love and it makes the Joie de Noel fragrance come alive!

The Votivo Joie de Noel candle is an elegant and luxurious candle that you should seriously consider adding to your holiday gift-giving list!

Voluspa Golden Cypress Sawara Candle Review

I am currently burning the Voluspa Golden Cypress Sawara candle from the Masion Rouge Collection and the first thing that comes to mind is how incredible it is! For those of you who are not familiar with Voluspa candles, they are a luxurious line of home fragrance made of only the highest quality of ingredients. The company prides itself on delivering clean burning and extremely fragrant candles made of premium coconut wax. Voluspa is a distinguished retailer famous for their lavish candles and has been featured in numerous home, fashion, and beauty magazines around the world.
The candle comes beautifully packaged in a Voluspa signature box — which I immediately thought of how perfect it would be for gift-giving. After opening it up and seeing the candle, I knew that I was going to love it. The jar is dark brown with white wax inside and features the Voluspa emblem with an impressive design printed on it. I have bought many candles that I did not feel comfortable displaying in my home without them first being inserted into a holder, but not this one! It has a sophisticated appearance that I was delighted to set right out on my counter without worrying about a tacky label showing.

The scent of the Golden Cypress Sawara is very intriguing and unique. As soon as you open the package, you are introduced to an uplifting smell of balsam and cypress needle, which reminds you of walking through the woods on a crisp, winter morning. It smells like a fresh cut balsam, but is definitely unique compared to other candle company’s pine and balsam aromas. It burns slow — just like Voluspa promises — and has a very light and not overpowering scent.
